I was driving up HWY 17 this afternoon and saw massive smoke plumes. Despite the forced detour I snuck around snapping some pictures. The smell of burning foliage was pretty overwhelming and the smoke was intensely thick. I can't help wondering as I watch the fire spread how these things start.
